Sep 20 Run: Tazza D'Oro for a Highland Park run.

Meet at Tazza D'Oro Coffee Shop near the corner of Highland Ave and Bryant St. for a Highland Park run. Joanne might still be nursing an injury so we may be left to find our own way.

Meet at Shady and Wilkins at 6:35 AM for a run to the run (it is about 2.5 miles).

The perfect weather only added to the enjoyment of this morning's spectacular run on and around Mount Washington - another installment in our High Points of Pittsburgh series. We worked for breakfast by climbing some steep hills but the poster perfect views of Pittsburgh were more than worth the effort. The Mt Washington Victorian houses with their ornate turrets added to the feeling that we had been transported to some other town/village. We ended the run with a ride up the Duquesne Incline after having run down scenic Sycamore street (where there a now signs to the newest Pittsburgh Park: Grand View Scenic Byway Park). But the real treat was the delicious breakfast at Cheryl's beautiful condo in quaint Chatham Village where we took a little extra time to visit with each other - a true pleasure.

Those of us in Pam Murray's care added little coda to the run - we saw cat woman, the joker and a hero type person prowling along the Boulevard near the Art Institute - all expertly dressed but no film crew readily apparent. Pittsburgh is full of surprises!

Here is a map of the run thanks to PtB:
