Next week will enjoy a flat run on the river front trail by the Waterfront development. Meet in the parking lot near the three tall chimney stacks and the Longhorn Steakhouse.
There will be a run to the run, through the Somerset development, starting from Wilkins and Beechwood at 6:15 AM sharp. Those of us planning to do this sincerely hope some of you will drive to the Waterfront!
Perhaps because we started and ended at a different Coffee Tree or because it is a holiday weekend or because the weather was just so darn beautiful, the run had a slightly alternative feel even though we ran through the familiar streets of Shadyside and around the Cathedral of Learning. A group of us extended our enjoyment of the exquisite morning by walking back to Squirrel Hill, permitting us to take a closer look at those mansions on Woodland Lane. We figured that the Mormer Bat Mitzvah Party must have been a big success since neither Elaine or her brother joined us :-)
