On Easter Sunday, we met at 61 C on Murray Avenue -- everyone's old fave. Or almost everyone. Pastries not so great, but it's homey and there's room to spread out, and we did.
Gender was a topic of interest at table, after we'd worked through the reality of someone actually having a gnome with a gun. A gnome, usually a benign little garden decoration, only this time... with a gun.
But! We were educated. Janet reminded us how important it was to not to delete women when speaking of pregnancy. (Or speaking of women's health issues.) That one way to be inclusive in this present world might be to say, women and other pregnant people.
In case you didn't know: a nibling is a nonbinary niece or nephew or an unborn child.
