It might be snowy, but we can still be out there at 7 on Sunday. Or not.
Either way, please check in at 8 right here:
Much valuable information is exchanged in this heady forum! For instance:
- Another endorsement for Harvie Farms CSA. Aimee found it, and now I'm a fan too. They work with all the good farms we buy from at the farmer's markets in the summer.
- Speaking of CSA's, Aimee also found this moving story about how the Kretschmann farm is shutting down after being a major presence in local organic farming since 1979. I remember Don and Becky at the first farmer's markets I went to in Pittsburgh, just a few years after that. Oy, does this mean I have to re-subscribe to the PG after the 3rd time I quit in disgust?
- Our pal the Lieut. Gov may be Senator some day
- Watch: video about Fifth Season farm in Braddock, which features Gisele Fetterman and is also one of the farms that Harvie works with so brings this entire segment together. Ah, Pittsburgh!
