Some of us will be Marathoning (may the force be with you!) so the rest of us can at least wander the course a bit by meeting at Beechwood and Fifth which is on the route. Be careful parking so that you stay on the side you will want to be on when you leave.
Here's info.
14 runners showed up last Sunday, when we had another inspiring Frick Park run led by Karen. We covered old trails and a new one (to me anyway) which made it seem like we were far, far from city life. It reminded us of our Girl Scout hikes. Be prepared! Coffee was as always simultaneously soothing and stimulating. Some highlights:
- The latest Obama School Musical, Sister Act, which shows the spirit, talent and gusto of those terrific kids: still on Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week
- Galit's receiving her PhD - mazel tov!
- The squeamishness of the Pitt grad school professor who left out the word "vaginal" when announcing Galit's research
- The Mountaineer's Rest Step (really a thing), taught by our Girl Scout Leader, Lainy.
- That new trail in Frick Park which at the start sort of parallels Commercial St. but I don't know its name.
Thanks to Aimee for photos and her amazing talent at selfies.
